Diflucan Capsule is a common prescription medication for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin including rosacea, rosacea with bullous disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, rosacea with chronic or recurring bullous disease, rosacea and rosacea with psoriasis. This medication is also used to treat rosacea in psoriatic arthritis.
Diflucan Capsule is indicated for the treatment of the following candidal infections of the skin:
of rosacea including rosacea with rosacea;
of rosacea including rosacea and chronic or recurring bullous disease;
systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLEe) with chronic or recurring systemic lupus erythematosus (SLEea) with chronic or recurring systemic lupus erythematosus (SLEeaa) and psoriasis including rosacea. Diflucan Capsule may be used in the management of fungal infections of the skin including rosacea, rosacea with bullous disease, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLEe), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLEea) with chronic or recurring systemic lupus erythematosus (SLEea), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLEeaa) and psoriasis.
The most common side effects of fluconazole are vaginal yeast infection (2 to 4% of patients) and skin reaction (1 to 4% of patients).
Fluconazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent. It is effective in the treatment of most of the vaginal, oral and systemic fungal infections. It is known to cause photosensitivity.

It is also used in children on life support called extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). This medicine works by killing the fungus or yeast, or preventing its growth. Fluconazole is also used to prevent candidiasis in patients having bone marrow transplants who receive cancer or radiation treatment.
Direction to Use:
DIFLUCAN® ONE is administered orally. Use in AdultsFor vaginal candidiasis, fluconazole 150 mg (DIFLUCAN® ONE) should beadministered as a single oral dose. The median time to onset of symptom relief following a 150 mg single oral dose for thetreatment of vaginal candidiasis is one day. The range of time to onset of symptomrelief is one hour to nine days. Use in ChildrenSingle dose fluconazole is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of ageexcept under doctor supervision.
Side Effects
Common fluconazole side effects include nausea, headache, and stomach pain. Diarrhea is also possible. Mild side effects tend to resolve on their own or go away when you finish your treatment course. Serious fluconazole side effects such as skin rash, liver damage, and heart rhythm changes are also possible

The Food and Drug Administration has now issued a warning for all fluconazole - a type of antifungal medication that works by stopping the growth of a fungus.
It's a common condition, which is why some people can't take fluconazole. In fact, it's so common that people have been prescribed fluconazole to treat fluconazole - the exact same medication that most fluconazole doctors prescribe - to treat certain infections in children.
While most people tolerate fluconazole well, some people have had problems with taking fluconazole. They may have:
It's a common problem that is most likely caused by a bacteria, or one that is resistant to most medications.
So, while most people tolerate fluconazole well, some people may have had problems with taking fluconazole, or fluconazole - the active ingredient in the fluconazole - in some cases. If you or a loved one has had a fluconazole infection or fluconazole for a long time, it's important to let them know.
If you have a fluconazole infection or fluconazole for the treatment of a fever, you should tell your doctor or healthcare provider immediately. They may want to treat the infection with antibiotics, or they may want to take a fluconazole medication such as Diflucan.
If you are prescribed a fluconazole treatment, your healthcare provider will monitor your symptoms and make sure you are taking fluconazole safely. If you have any questions about your fluconazole treatment, they will contact your doctor, who will review your medical history and ensure that you are taking the correct dose of fluconazole.
If you need to take fluconazole more frequently than prescribed, your healthcare provider may recommend taking the medication at a different time.
Your doctor or healthcare provider may also recommend taking fluconazole together with a fluconazole treatment. Taking both fluconazole and fluconazole together can cause serious side effects.
Thrush is a fungal infection, commonly caused by a type of yeast called candida. Although candida is naturally present in the body, an imbalance can trigger thrush symptoms. Fluconazole 150mg (also known as Diflucan and other brand names) kills certain types of fungi and restores your body's natural balance.
Fluconazole treatment for thrush is simple - just one capsule to be swallowed with a glass of water. You can take this medicine at any time of day, with or without a meal.
Women taking fluconazole should see an improvement within a few days. Some women will notice improvement in 24 hours.
For men, the condition can take a little longer to clear up. The symptoms should clear up within a few days, although this can take up to a week.
If your condition hasn't cleared up within one week, you should consult a doctor.
Thrush is an infection which can occur without sexual contact, so it is not a sexually transmitted disease. However, the infection can be passed on during sex, so it is recommended that you should not have sex until the infection has cleared up.
If you regularly suffer from thrush, then it's advisable that both you and your partner have thrush treatment at the same time.
Taking too much can make you unwell, so contact your doctor or nearest hospital immediately if you take more than you should.
As with any medicine, there are side effects. Although a serious allergic reaction to fluconazole is rare. Common side effects (occurring in one in ten patients) include nausea, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, wind, rash and headache. However, these side effects are usually mild and don't tend to last long. If symptoms persist, or are particularly severe, contact your doctor.

You should not take fluconazole while you are pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding.
Do not take fluconazole if you've ever had an allergic reaction to any of its ingredients or any other medicines which you have taken to treat a fungal infection.

There is a very rare theoretical risk of abnormal heart rhythm if fluconazole is taken at the same time as some other medications -.
The Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) is the leaflet included in the pack with a medicine and must be read before taking the medicine. It is written for patients and gives information about taking or using a medicine.
The recommended dose of fluconazole is one capsule three times a day ( 30 minutes before bed ) or a 2mg tablet once daily ( once a day ).

Fluconazole can be taken with or without food, however, if you wish to take it with a high fat meal then fluconazole can be taken with the high fat meal.
